Special Abilities
ATA Worldwide is a front runner is making martial arts available to all, regardless of their challenges. Princeton Martial Arts Center (an official DDD provider) offers classes to any individual with physical or cognitive challenges. We mainstream students whenever possible, but do provide specialized classes when needed.
Our Chief Instructor not only earned an MSW from the University of Pennsylvania, but is also a Special Olympics certified coach. Similar to an IEP at school, an individual plan of training is developed based on the needs and goals of any Special Abilities (SA) student/parents.
We have many SA students that have obtained their black belts. We have experience with Fragile X syndrome, Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Ataxic Telangiectasia, TBI and many others.
